Kindergarten Educators Learn New Technologies in the Development of Media

At the final event on 13 December 2023, questions relating to digital education in primary education were discussed from a gender-sensitive perspective with professionals in the education sector and social partners, as well as relevant research topics. One thing became evident: if education aims to take childrens’ situations seriously, then digital education cannot be seen as solely a “special field”, but as general education. It is crucial that early childhood educators are able to critically analyse their own attitudes towards digitality, gender issues and other categories of discrimination. We would like to thank the three experts: media pedagogue and digital activist Rosa Danner, Lars Eichen from the Institute for Educational Research and Pedagogical Education at the University of Graz and elementary education pedagogue Astrid Beck. We would also like to thank the participating schools, especially the pupils, as well as all final event attendees!
