Accompanying Evaluation “Start Wien – Das Jugendcollege”

‘Start Wien – Das Jugendcollege’, a comprehensive educational, social, integration and labour market policy measure has been implemented in Vienna since mid-2016. It mainly addresses young people in particular refugees.

Successful integration in the field of education, training and the labour market is one of the basic requirements for successful social integration as a whole. In the local context, in particular the City of Vienna and the corresponding institutions are challenged to develop a system that is both quantitatively sufficient and qualitatively broadly supportive in order to introduce these young people to the education and labour market system.

‘Start Wien – das Jugendcollege’ is a modular educational programme for young people between the ages of 15 and 21. The project is conducted by 9 partner organisations under the leadership of the Vienna Adult Education Centres (VHS). The project is financed by the ESF, the AMS Vienna, the FSW and the MA 17.

The previous approaches, achievements and experiences of the project are the subject of the accompanying evaluation.
