Scientific analysis and advice on gender equality in the EU (SAAGE)

As part of the SAAGE expert network, Nadja Bergmann and Claudia Sorger regularly report to the European Commission on the status of gender equality in Austria. The SAAGE network provides up-to-date information on the current and future situation as well as on political measures in all EU Member States in the form of monthly and annual reports. The monitoring and collection of information at country level is complemented by the involvement of subject matter experts. By linking the country perspective with the thematic perspective, SAAGE strengthens the European Commission’s knowledge base on gender equality and supports the adoption of policy initiatives to promote gender equality in the EU. The implementation of wage transparency and the reduction of the gender pay gap are regular components of the expertise.
