waff Lunch Lecture “Long-term Unemployment in Austria: Opportunities and Limitations of Successful Labour Market Integration”

28.01.2026

Long-term unemployment is a key issue and continues to pose a major challenge for active labour market policy in Austria. Despite a wide range of instruments and forms of support, the long-term unemployed are only being integrated to a limited extent into the labour market.

At the waff Lunch Lecture on 26 January 2026, we presented our latest study, commissioned by AMS Austria, entitled “Opportunities and Limitations of Successful Labour Market Integration of Long-term Unemployed Persons”.

The slides from the waff Lunch Lecture are available here.
