Between Individual Experiences and Structural Obstacles: Young Women and STEM Vocational Education


Titled ‘Zwischen individuellen Erfahrungsräumen und strukturellen Verunmöglichungen’ (Between Individual Spaces of Experience and Structural Impossibilities), our article on ‘(Young) women and STEM training’ was published in the current issue of the Sozialwissenschaftliche Rundschau (2024, No.1), which makes clear that structural and institutional barriers create difficulties for young women to enter the STEM field, and that favourable influences – in particular the spaces of experience and insights offered – are still subject to a certain degree of randomness.
