Safe Together – Safe nightlife in Vienna

Within the project ‘Safe Together – Safe Going Out in Vienna for Young Women’, on behalf of the Women’s Service of the City of Vienna (MA57), the practices, problems and challenges of young people – especially girls and young women – when going out in Vienna are being examined.

A total of eight focus groups of young women and men aged 14 to 21 in Vienna are involved. The main questions being addressed are: 1. How and where do young people go out? 2. Do they take their own safety into consideration before going out? 3. Are there special ‘strategies’ being implemented to feel (more) safe? 4. What have they experienced when going out in Vienna?
