What role does company and political co-determination play in early childhood education professions? To what extent can participation contribute to improving working conditions? What options do employees in early childhood education have in making their voiced concerns heard more effectively?

These were questions that our study ‘Co-creation with Impact. Participation in the field of employment in early childhood education’ addressed.

The project results were presented by Katharina Aufhauser (L&R Social Research) on January 22nd at the ‘Add Your Two Cents! Strengthening Co-Determination and Co-Design Together in Elementary Education’ event organised by the Austrian Trade Union Federation and the Vienna Chamber of Labour.

In addition to the project result presentation, the main focus was put on the content of the ‘Add Your Two Cents!’ guidelines developed as a result of the project results. The guide is aimed at employees and managers in the field of early childhood education and contains practical co-determination options to be implemented both in-company and across political levels.
