Presentation of the AMS Gender Equality Objectives Monitor at the AMS Research Discussion ‘Current Issues Faced by Women in the Austrian Labour Market’
21.10.2025
Women continue to struggle with structural challenges in the Austrian labour market, such as low employment rates, income disparities and horizontal segregation. The AMS research discussion on 20 October 2025 was entitled ‘Current problems faced by Women in the Austrian Labour Market’ and presented the results of two recent studies commissioned by the departments for labour market policy for women and labour market research and career information of the Austrian Public Employment Service (AMS).
In addition to a study by Joanneum Research on ‘Barriers, motives and expectations of people out of the labour force’, we presented our current study on the ‘AMS Gender Equality Objectives Monitor: Contribution of AMS measures to the positioning of women in the labour market’.
The slides from the AMS research discussion are available here.
The complete report is available for download here; the key findings have been summarised in the AMS Info.
