Final Conference ‘Gender Equality and Quality of Life in Austria’

05.11.2024

How can violence in social neighbourhoods be prevented? Is there a connection between gender-equitable division of care work, gainful employment and the prevention of violence? The hands-on research project ‘Gender Equality and Quality of Life Austria (GEQ AT)’ provides answers to and insights into such questions. The Ministry of Social Affairs together with the Institute for Men’s and Gender Studies, and in co-operation with L&R Social Research, invited participants to the final conference of GEQ AT. The results of the representative quantitative questionnaire survey (with its almost 2,300 respondents), in-depth qualitative interviews (with more than 60 people), and resulting recommendations developed in reflection groups by relevant experts in all federal states was presented and discussed.

The final conference is took place  at the Ministry of Social Affairs (Gobelinsaal) in Vienna on 28 November 2024.

Information about the conference was posted in this folder: GEQ-Flyer-Konferenz-24102024.
