Männer.MINT.CARE Workshop
Companies increasingly need to take into account the diverse realities of their employees’ lives – especially when it comes to balancing work and family life. This has long been an issue for men who want to play an active role as fathers but encounter structural and cultural barriers. The ‘Männer.MINT.Care’ project supports companies with a practical, free workshop that promotes work-life balance, equality and fair opportunities and is also suitable for several companies to participate in together.
The workshop will be held 12 times throughout Austria.
Target group
HR, works council, diversity and equality officers, managers and, in general, fathers who are confronted with the issue of work-life balance in their company in one way or another.
Time and place
The workshop will be held between March and June, with dates to be agreed with the companies or specified in advance (depending on the project partner). Depending on the region, the workshop will either be hosted by one of the participating companies or held on the premises of the project partners.
Workshop content
After getting to know each other, we will start with a brief presentation of the project and an exciting insight into the results of the Austria-wide survey conducted as part of the Männer.MINT.CARE project on the topic of work-life balance in STEM companies. Afterwards, the focus will be set depending on the project partner. In interactive group work, the topics will then be linked to the respective companies and discussed.
Costs
Participation in the workshop is free of charge.
Format/duration
On site, 3.5 hours. It will be conducted by one of the following project partners, each with different areas of focus.
| Project partner | Thematic areas |
|---|---|
| Ombud for Equal Treatment | Legal framework for measures promoting compatibility, compatibility and equal treatment (§ 5a GlBG) |

| Papainfo | Caring Masculinities – how a modern, father-friendly corporate culture is emerging and why it benefits all employees (keyword: parenting skills). |
