Lecture on “Gender, Digitalisation, Labour Market” in the Context of the German-Chinese Symposium “Gender and Future of Work”
The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Shanghai Representative Office and Nanjing Normal University Ginling College organised a German-Chinese symposium on “Gender and the Future of Work” on 28 and 29 November 2020. The aim of this symposium is to develop a mutual understanding of what the future of work in both Germany and China might look like, what gender-specific consequences this might have and what possibilities exist for taking advantage of opportunities and mitigating problematic developments. In order to put the exchange of information on a long-term basis, the discussions in both countries were compared, the issues to be dealt with as a matter of priority were identified and a concept for further action was developed.
Nadja Bergmann was invited to give a lecture on “Gender, Digitisation, Labour Market”, which outlined selected developments in the field of equality, digitisation and the labour market in the German-speaking countries.
