Gender Equality Report Vorarlberg 2026
Since 2000, reports on women’s and gender equality policy have been regularly published in Vorarlberg on behalf of the Vorarlberg state government, the Vorarlberg Chamber of Labour and the Austrian Trade Union Federation. These reports provide insights into the situation of women in different areas of life as well as analyses on the status quo of gender equality in the state. The results and the options for action derived from them serve as a relevant basis for planning women’s and gender equality policy measures in Vorarlberg.
For the 2026 Gender Equality Report, current data is provided in seven subject areas: education, employment, domestic and care work, economic situation, political participation, social security and violence. This reflects the diverse spectrum of women’s educational, professional and life biographies. The indicators enable well-founded comparisons across genders in Vorarlberg and a classification in the nationwide context. By updating the key figures over time, developments can also be made visible, allowing both progress achieved and existing or new challenges to be identified.
Moreover, the 2026 Equality Report specifically focuses on the issue of part-time work in Vorarlberg. In addition to an in-depth evaluation of available data and studies, women working part-time and experts will be involved through primary surveys.
