Career guidance in Vienna

The project “Vocational Orientation in Vienna” was implemented by waff 2024-2025 in close cooperation with partners from the labor market, education, business and research. The aim for 2024 was to create a sound basis for assessing the status quo based on an analysis of current career guidance services in Vienna and to derive recommendations for possible further development of the service landscape. In this context, the project report entitled “Career guidance in Vienna” was produced.
The report summarizes the most important results for adolescents and young adults under the age of 25 and for adults over the age of 25 and highlights key areas of action and approaches for further development, which were developed in consultation with experts, practitioners and representatives of the target groups.
Together with the öibf (Austrian Institute for Vocational Education and Training Research), L&R Social Research provided support in the creation of the report.
From 2025, waff will build on this to develop and test innovative pilot projects for the target groups – under 25-year-olds and adults over 25.
